Dear sir/Madam
This is my Question for traveling with advance parole.
1. came to usa 1999 as b1 visa with my wife.
2. change f1 student (my wife ) me f2 student depend after 4 months.
3. apply for I-485 employment i am principle applicant july 2nd 2007 riceive date and notice date is august 24th 2007 .
4. my wife apply i-824 july 2nd 2007 and she left usa july 14th 2007.
5. i got Ead and advance parole august 30th 2007.
6. i have not started work yet.
7. i had apply for f1 student visa (change of status f2 to f1) july 15th 2007 but denied.
so my question is my I-94 is f2 until d/s is no longer valied or not?
because my wife left uSA after filling my I 485 , is there is any problem travelling with advance parole?
my student change of status is denied so there is any problem to traval with advance parole?

Your PD will be current by Sep 2010. Or if you are lucky you may get GC by that time.

I understand your frustration very well. Of course the labor substitution is not logical, but it is not the root of the problem. Just think rationally how many people take advantage of this option. The real cause of our problem is Number of Visas. As long as it is legal, people will go for it. They should not be blamed, rather it is our inability that we didn't find the right "Approved Labor". If you find something suitable, will you not go for it?

Life's not simple. It's not A or B. It's usually A and B that succeeds. Like I mentioned in an earlier post going ahead with option A (lawsuit) closes option B ( meetings and negotiations).
Best approach is IV keeps option B (lobbying) open while a group that agrees option A is better continues to pursue it. There is a lot of support for this measure here. What it lacks is a convinced leadership! Once the leadership emerges and there is action on the ground, who knows, the skeptics may join too.

No one is naive to know Canada is not oozing with opportunity. But since people are sick of the US and it's immigration policy Canada is an option for some especially ones who don't care to go back to India. No country is an option for all neither is USA.
It seems after reading all this that canada maynot be for all aspirants. You need to know somebody already there and should have strong family ties before you land. Or better get a job offer from a company first or acceptance offer from an university if you want to enter as a student.
Just my thoughts.....

this depends on the number of approvals and not on the number of applications received. Even if there are tons of applications received, unless there are enough approvals happening simultaneously, dates would not retrogress in the middle of the month.
USCIS had approvals before dates moved. USCIS knows the number of such approvals.
These approvals are getting GC before approval of current applicants. If earlier approvals use up quotas, retrogression does not have to wait for current approvals.

for people who own or will buy homes ? We could also say that this can come from recapture but only for already or potential home owners...
brilliant idea...if some of us are able to get off the queue and give more visa numbers to others waiting helps everybody. Along with US homes being sold could add some value. Hats off to nixtor.

H1-B and go for GC directly
3. Due to pre-adjudication Labor substitution applicants with substituted priority dates are in frontline
4. Porting from EB3 to EB2 is being done for atleast 10% EB3 applicants with recapture of priority date
5. Perm was introduced in early 2005 and lot of EB2 applications labors were approved in 2005

I disagree. Christ still needs a passport and has to go through immigration check at port of entry to land in US. The easiest for HIM is to get an F-1 visa and then change to H1-B and apply a Green card.

I don't think so. 7% limit has been there for a very long time. Unused visas from prior years for ac21 purposes were still subject to 7% in current year. The 7% rule was unchanged.

I usually just browse through these forums and I really appreciate the effort put in by the organizers. But this thread gave me an urge to respond and perhaps talk.
First of all, SRK is just a normal human, not a God. The TSA has even questioned many American celebrities. SRK is just a guy with Khan as last name. TSA is not going to take chances and will make sure they do what is needed to protect America. And SRK probably acted like a monkey again and annoyed the TSA guys so they held him up for 2 hours. OK, just kidding. But thing is, Indian government if anything should take a lesson from it. In india if you are SRK or Sanjay Dutt, there are no lines for you..any where. Indians should get angry at that, not this that just happened in the USA. And for God's sake, why would you even want to sympathesize with a character like SRK who has destroyed the indian movie industry?
Now don't tell me I am a traitor. I love India, I love America. I live in America because I like living in America and I have gotten used to the comfort and lifestyle. This doesnt mean that I hate India.
And to the guy who thinks that americasn think Indians are slumdogs or thrid class citizens...please go to india and free up the line for the rest of us. Its your belief that they think you are a slumdog. Perhaps you come across that way to them. Indians are more notorious when it comes to "grading" people based on their color or status and if a few rednecks in America did this to you, don't stereotype the entire country.

The funny part is 80-90% is complete garbage.
As one example, my physician aunt while moonlighting (contracting) met another moonlighter (through staffing company) who was paid 100/hour less then her and put in a cheaper hotel/room. And this is 25 years back when there were very few Indians, forget Indian staffing companies.
Will the memo stop company from keeping unknown %? Will the memo stop layers of companies sucking an employee contract?
