Retrogression is a scar on the face of EB immigration.
Thats the reason every immigration bill so far related to EB has tried to resolve this issue. Anyone who says retrogression is good is either misinformed or a pychopathic specimen that needs instant mental evaluation, followed by treatment and observation in an asylum. The observation should continue for as long as it takes a typical EB3-India case to get approved. To paraphrase your quote: "The truly cured would still be observed until their turn for release comes"

Recession occurs in order to cleanse the economy of bohemian excesses and inefficiencies. Do you think that such people are sadists and belong to the mental asylum ? Of course there are people who get affected in a recession. Does it mean it is not desired ? In a similar vein, you need to understand that there were and are huge gaping inefficiencies in the current immigration process. There has to be a way to curb these excesses and inefficiencies. ThanksGC for the reply,but what if by the time I apply for labor, I enter 6th year and if assuming labor is approved in 6 months, can I use PD from the previous employer to extend beyond 6th year. I am asking because I was under the impression, I cannot extend my H1 if I file labour in 6th year( it has to happen before I reach 6th year).But in my case I have approved labor with PD before I reach 6th year but from different employer.
In short,Can I apply for one year extention based on my labor PD from different employer even if I file new labor from new employer after entering 6th year.

Folks - here is the thing. lets work towards fixing our issues.
If people feel USCIS must know about EB1 fraud or other stuff, there are enough people to write to them and if people want to write to USCIS - no one stops them from writing.
As such, so many people write about different things - people write about eb2 - people write about consulting companies etc... So if you wish to do what you want to do you can do it.
Remember - when you make a claim that someone is falsfying or breaking law you must present facts and explain properly as to why you think it is not right and why you think you are affected by this.
Now when you do this - someone can definitely write why they think what YOU are doing is not right and why there are issues with your application.
IV focuses on advocacy - together we resolve our issues. Things like employer not paying salary, employer benching, cheating etc... are things IV members must collectively deal with andhelp themselves.
Things like wrongful denials when used AC21, poor customer service etc... are ones IV members can collectively resolve and IV helps
Things like organizing grassroots efforts, job networking, help networks, lobbying etc... are the kind of things IV stands for.

The way process works is my employer applies for Labor certification. Once it is approved by Department of Labor I file for I-140 and I-485 which is last step to adjustment of status and gives me Green Card. I rely on Department of State (DOS) for visa dates to file I-485. When I move to this stage, I bear expenses close to $3000 for completing application process itself.
Recently on 13 June 2007, DOS issued Visa Bulletin (VB) stating that all visa dates are current for (almost) all employment based immigrant categories. Since this is the only information me and my employer rely to start application for I-485, we started the process. We collected all documents, took medical examinations, paid attorney fees and got the document ready to be sent over, as was expected by DOS and USCIS as part of the process. I am not going into details of the hard works, sleepless nights, leaves from work and expenses as part of this effort.
When my employer was about to send this package to USCIS, DOS came out with revised Visa Bulletin. In this they revised the earlier Visa date availability. USCIS followed the suit and decided to reject all applications, which they by their 13 June 2007 proclamations were ready to accept. This might be trivial thing for DOS and USCIS but not for me and thousands like me. This action of USCIS has no precedence. That is against its (USCIS) regular processes and guidelines and smacks of disrespect for its own procedures, guidelines and we immigrants, who rely on it.
This is not just emotional trauma for me and my fellow immigrants but a major financial loss worth $3000/per person applying.
In the end, my question to US Congressmen, USCIS and DOS is who is looking at impact to us? Were we wrong when we followed DOS Visa Bulletin on 13 June 2007? If not, why we should bear the financial and other losses? We are legal, law abiding residents. Does being good residents make our trials and tribulations meaningless and irrelevant for laws and departments of USA? To me it sounds unfair and unjust. Please let me know your thoughts and what you can do to alleviate my trust on American Immigration System and Departments devoted for that.

Medical will not be valid after 1 year.
Rejected June filers can not file.
June filers did not file because they thought they will file in July.

nope. The august bulletin which gets released mid july didn't get into our arguements at all. We were specifially talking about july filers and july month.
Yes, i agree that if August bulletin retrogresses than that affects only august filers and not the people eligible to file in july.

Please park you dollars in some tangible asset. Property is a good place to do that. If you a saving in dollars use that as your 20% down payment and get good fire sale property in US. You should know that if you wait for your GC to buy property your dollar will be worth only 50% its value or less in a year from now. If you use your dollars now to buy property you will get a good bargain and also your monthly payment will be 50% or more cheaper five years from now.

People's idea about patriotism is different.Like some folks
Spend hours drinking in the wake of Mumbai attacks
Say they would go back to India to fight if rumors about the war between India and Pak post Mumbai attacks is true.
So patriotic so much so that when IV avtar feature is introduced they even upload a soldier's picture albeit for few min.
When it comes to PM of India they would want western breed like Nostradamus kind Simon,Sweet voiced Susan or half Indian Saino.
Can we call them unpatriotic ?NO!! .That's their patriotism what if it is a bit different in style.(No I didn't spend time digging into anyon'es old posts.Just when someon'esr patriotism seemes interestingly interesting we get to remember some things)
Then moving to IQ:
Some people have such high IQ that they go into the mind of the anonymous members on a forum and find out that these members think they are political strategists ,just that they did a bad job at reading the mind.(None of the members that posted in this thread said they think they are political strategists if anything they repeatedly said that they are sharing what they know.But you know this IQ thing when it's on High it does strange things.)
Facts in politics (in general) and Indian politics in specific are intricately bonded and it's not much possible to state a new fact without stating already mentioned fact(as proof)
For major part of 60 years in Indian political scenario we are repeating the same family to hold top most position,we are repeating same mistakes, what's mere repetition of few facts on a forum.
( Though no one asked me directly) As always if I think I have to say something I will continue to do so.I'm not even wee bit interested in getting into personal attacks with anonymous members on an anonymous forum That's not why I come here.Also I have nothing against anyone.If I like someone's post I won't hold back my appreciation just because they didn't like my posts.
Now I hope they don't have a problem with the length of my post :)
