Why is this a risk? We are doing what we are supposed to do. Send packages based on our dates being current. If USCIS/DOS screws the dates we slap them with a law suit.
After such mad rush and bad news about visa bulletin revision? How many are considering to file on July 2nd and July 3rd? What is the general advice regarding filing from lawyers and oneself about sending documents on July 2nd and July 3rd?
My lawyer is sending through FedEx - overnight delivery - going there on July 3rd. My worry - Is it a huge risk on my part? What happens if Monday morning it is revised, or worst Tuesday it is revised?

Its just sad that when it comes to processing immigration applications, we are too many. But when it comes to contributions or calling senators and sending emails, WE ARE TOO FEW :confused:

I am pretty new to the forum (as a member), I have been browsing the same for quite some time and found it a good source of information regarding immigration related activities. Right now I am getting removed from my project as one of the top 3 Indian outsourcing firm is dumping their L1 resources at my client site and replacing all the citizens, GCs, EADs, H1 etc. These resources are used in projects managed and controlled by my client (most of them are consulting assignments) and these resources are used on java/.net/oracle projects, these two are violations of L1 visa restrictions set by USCIS, I want to know how and where to complain against this violation and we have all evidence to prove the same (project documents, time sheets, work assignments etc). Please let me know exactly and to which agencies we should complain.

I might be the worst case so far in PIMS verification delay. I attended the interview on Dec 17th at Chennai and still have not received my passport. They asked to send the original I-797 on Jan 03. I sent it on Jan 04 and after that there is no response. It is very very aggravating.

I filed a G28 to allow me to represent my wife. I did not use an attorney. If you are filing for more than one person then I think that a G28 is worth it. It is a trivial form.

I am still trying to talk the old employer. Is it such a big deal that they cant even write a letter of future employment for me? i told them that they are not obligated to hire me but they are scared that they are trying to show that they are in losses and that by filing for a GC and promising a future employment they will not be able to show that they are suffering losses.
Why is it so difficult and complicated?
I am losing hope in it.
There is no harm in trying the new application in parallel. Assuming your employer is paying for it/you can afford the extra fees. Time is critical as CIR might mess things up if you delay too much.

This is a good bill. The 50% rule will impact Indian bodyshoppers and Top Indian outsourcing companies. But genuine companies like Microsoft,Google, Oracle and other US companies will not be impacted that much as they sincerely search whether US talent is available. But will it pass? In 2007 it did not move as they planned to consider for CIR. This time also same argument may come. But some genuine Indian consulting companies also will be impacted. But system will adjust quickly even if this bill passes.
May I ask your immigration status. I believe you already got your GC and roaming around here just beat shit out of others. Each and every of your post is convincing me in that direction only. You would be happy to see the H1 guys thrown out from here. So it will increase your demand and you can make more money. In my Birth certiifcate which was registered immediately after 10 days of my birth ,as per Indian custom I was named after my Grandmother and the birth certificate has that name. But later while joining in school we changed it to a different name just retaining a half of my Grandmother's name. So the Birth certificate I now have has a different name from my current name , what I now have in my passport and everything. So while filing I-485 what do I do? Is a sworn affidavit by my parents stating the name change and my Matriculation certificate showing my current name enough. I have waited 41/2 yrs in H4 to get Labor cleared and PD to become current and now I am going nuts. Pls. reply

Kaiser started this new rule to not hire folks on EADs as of last week.
I thought, this may be the work of various vendors who fear of losing lot of their employees jumping to the Client as Full time employees. Dont know actual reason yet.

It could also be that they are confusing your EAD with EADs used mostly by students on OPT which leads to H1B to Greencard sponsorship.
