I am shocked too. 2 members who I called on phone were abusive. They started blaming Aman Kapoor saying that he is rubbing his idealogies over already stressed immigrants - this was ridiculous and I am so sad that people have such thoughts.
If people are scared or want to live in Shadows why abuse IV who are truly committed for a cause???? These are the same people writing rubbish on those threads that ran 200 pages when they were waiting for USCIS announcement.

Let people say what they want to say. Every big effort will have people who will have difference of opinion. The work needs to go on and only then it will benefit the community. If someone has concerns then they should contact us or come to DC for the rally and meet us. We will talk to you and answer questions you may have.

Why don't you do this? Try to search just for your employer - and once you have a bunch of cases filed by your employer, go ahead and narrow yours down based on Priority Date.
I do have the Employer and Attorney details. I searched based on that. Reg, case number, which case number we have to use, the backlog center number or any other number? I do have a copy of the approval letter received from backlog center.
Let me know what else I can do?

i really appreciate and applaud what you and other members of immigration voice and other pro-imigration groups have done but for personal reasons i believe that fighting the congress is a losing battle and i sincerely doubt if we'll have any pro-immigration bill passed before the 2008 presidential election and when the new president comes this will fall att the bottom of his/her agenda. Look at Bush's tenure he's promised pro-immigration measures since 2004 and squat has happened. The issue is that there a lot of anti- legal and illegal immigration activists and congress members who will make sure nothing goes thru the senate or the house.

dotn worry...this stuff normally is for any new applications only!!!
Does it mean they would stop processing I140 premium applications which have already been sent. My I140 was pending for 6 months and I changed it for premium after the dates became current, it was sent by my lawyer this Monday (25th) and received by USCIS on 26th. Does this mean it will not be processed or does this mean they will not accept any premium processing applications from July 2nd.

Unfortunately, I can't leave the US for the following reasons
a) AOS pending
b) H1 expiring soon
c) Won't get any vacation time as just joined a new job.
I am in a similar situation. My 8th year H1B expired in May. 9th Year extension is pending. No receipt yet on 485/EAD/AP for Julay 2nd filing.
Fortunately my license is expiring next year.

I have seen lots of people posting more than 300+ in this forum and never contributed a dime. If you ask they shamelessly say it is not mandatory to contribute. Everyone knows it is not mandatory, but if you are not self centred and stingy, you will feel to contribute at least once if not recurring after spending months on IV forum.

Gurus,
Need your valuable advice on this serious issue. Involved in shoplifting case, got arrested and plead guilty. Served the community service, and paid fine. Got the �Court Disposition Document� which states that I am all clear. My status is I-485 pending and have EAD, AP documents.
1. Is it safe to travel to India and come back on AP?
2. What are the possible chances that visa officer may not let me into the USA?

1. Your spouse can't work . Think about their self esteem and self respect they are loosing.
2. You don't know about your future if tomorrow you loose your job , you will be kicked from this country.

Why not? Although I have applied for GC, I have no desire to take US citizenship, just to let you know. The majority does not mean the whole world and also does not mean everyone. There are Indian citizens that love India. Parents should be able to make decisions for their kids until they are 18. The kid can take US citizenship when he is 18 if parents have opted for Indian citizenship.

One of my friend who is on H1 went to DMV office to change State from TX to Colorado and they gave him a case number asked him to go to MVI office for immigration status check in Denver...

It would have been much better if a child learns some skill or diverts the mind towards exploring a problem or invention . What use is cramming the dictionary when it is available right on your phone now . If you have the internet all the world's knowledge is searchable.

I have been doing the same research for the past one month, here is my experience.
1. Termlife Vs Wholelife.
Term is better than whole life. Instead of going with whole life, you can have Term + Saving account. For example, if you need $500/year for term and $2500/year for whole life. Take the Term insurnace and pay $500/year, open a saving account and deposit $2000/year ($2500 - $500).
2. You can compare the different life insurance with ratings. http://www.term4sale.com/
3. No life insurance for H1 (non-immigrant)
I have talked to WesternSouthern and Metlife agents. WS does not offer Life insurance for H1 but Metlife offer life insurance provided that insured person must be working in the same company for last five years.
4. Insurance here (US) vs India
Term insurance in India is much higher than insurance here. I got the quote here for $500/year but for the same insurance amount, the LIC cost me Rs.80,000.00
5. Hidden items
Make sure, you understand all the hidden item when you take insurance from here(US) or India. If you (owner+beneficiary) take life insurance here, the insured person stays outside the country for long time (more than six weeks) and if the insured person dies then you can't claim.

Which center did you apply and where did you send the supporting documents?
Did you send it to the address generated on the receipt?
Sorry for not replying earlier.
We applied to NSC. Documents were sent to address generated on the recipet.
As I wrote earlier, EAD was approved which was sent in the same folder.
How do we create 'expediate request'? we are not planning to go out this year.
How do I connect to IO directly? Service Reps are the call center are useless!!
