It is created to sharing ideas among members - to resolve immigration matters - not to discuss other topics like real estate investments etc. It is okay to quote one's or someone else's progress in financial matters in the context of his/her immigration status, but to make a complete turn and just discuss the specifics of financial investments etc. doesn't have a place on this forum.

One big missing piece in your analysis - Country quota.
As per your analysis, there are around 125K pending cases. If there is no spill over (that is the case this year and that will be the case for the coming years as per State dept.), then EB3-I or EB2-I gets only 2700 visas per year.
Now, please redo your math and you can easily see that the current retrogress might look like there is hardly any retrogression.
country quota will not impact I and C once the dates are current for ROW due to the spillover. If the number of applications pending is, say 100K and 95 K out of that are I and C. And assume 10K applications from ROW are add to the queue, what I am saying is all 110K will be cleared by end of the fiscal year.

I and many folks in this forum have seen very few approvals for this category. How come USCIS says that this category is over subscribing the visa quota. Why they are moving un used visas to EB2 (no offense) why not for EB3?

I fail to see what is unjust about this. They move unused numbers from EB1 to EB2 because it works this way.

EB3 -> third level of preference

Best way is some of the provisions in Durbin bill to restrict some abuse. Only bad thing in Durbin bill is it is banning consulting with H1bs. Other than this provision everything is good. Instead of opposing the entire bill it is better to oppose only that section.
no matter what , H1 are for employers for them to be competitive, how come all of a sudden employers are talking about illigal immigrants these days, because they have found out that they can get them at a very cheaper rates, the moment you try to put wage garuntee in any of the immigration bills, this what kenndy wants, republicans run by big business are not longer interested in the immigration. perfect example of modern day enslavery. if they make 400K H1B's as per the strive ACT, Green card will lose much of its significance, because most employers will find easy to hire H1B raher than paying 20% or 30% higher to somebody on green card, that is the reason employers are after H1B.

Take it easy!, EB2 India is going to meet the same fate next month. Based on our recent discussions with DOS.

I understand from the posts that some of you got i-140 and other perm labor documents. Would it be fine to write on g-639 as mentioned below to get I-140 and other perm related documents
Request for a copy of approved i-140, petition of i-140 and perm labor documents.
Could you be more specific or elaborate what to mention on the g-639 form under #4 which says Identify the documents records , or information you are seeking?
Please validate and this would greatly help to others. The only reason I am asking is I am not sure what documents can be requested such as perm labor can be requested or not. Your help greatly appreciated.

Lets the math not to be either rocket science or a dice figure from broken system.
Lets figure out how many pending and how systems works and request the agency to monitor it. Once the strategy in place, we can rely on it and can wait for years based on our PD with a close accurate (99%) assumption.

I was about to send the e-mail and then I decided to clarify this before jumping on to it.
I am not sure if I am asking the right question, but I am just curious what is the point in sending same e-mails to the editor of the newspaper ? From my experience in talking to them, they seems to be looking for issues and when you have something valid they print. Also a single e-mail from IV talking about us (on behalf of 6000 of us) and the issues we are facing would have sufficed ? Right ? or I am missing something ? I know e-mail as faxes work for political campaign to show numbers but not seen it in news media ?

You don't post bullshit in a public forum, just because you can't see the people you are talking to, infront of you. Would you dare call the original poster 'thief' if he is standing infront of you? Isnt the goal of Education to make a person a better person, morally and otherwise? Is this what your education got you to? All of your Education (I am assuming you have four MS degrees, two PHd, as you have twice mine, and about 300K salary) is a total waste, if you stick up your head to support someone who does shop-lifting and have no qualms about it ( i have definitely not seen any statement to that effect from the OP, just seeking "immigration" advise). I can only think of a myriad number of reasons why you want to support this guy..maybe you yourself might have sticky hands my friend? Or maybe you are the same guy posting with two IDs and supporting your shop-lifting by such BS? I have no idea and am not interested either.
Try browsing the anti-immigrant nut websites and try answering their type-casting immigrants by the acts of few, and then you will understand what i am talking about. Till, then, probably, you can take all of your fancy-a** education, fat salary and shove it up!

Thanks SGP. Did I read this correctly ? you switched in 9th yr of h1 ? was ur I-485 pending or did u have EAD to change ? I just have I-140 approved. so if I change to a new job now, can the new employer use this old I-140 for extensions ? can new employer ask USCIS to port old priority date ?

If there are no more new EB applicants, we should see all pending apps to get approved in a year or two max. The 4 current categories now are EB1 ROW, EB1 India/China and EB2 ROW. If there are 140K apps coming in every year from these categories, we'll never see any movement for EB2/EB3. Anybody know the average number of applicants the last few years from these categories? From the recent news, we know that demand for EB1 India and EB1 China has grown substantially. In my opinion, setting a cutoff date for EB1 India/China would be the best thing for USCIS to do now. That will prevent any new visa usage for EB1 India/China and allow EB2 and EB3 categories to catch up.
If they get continus apps from Eb1 in each quater how can they set up cutoff date ? ( I mean their demand with in range of supply ) .. isn't that illegal ?
