this is preposteruos, i was never denied entry on a train or bus just because i am asian, usa is much better country when it comes to racism than most of the asian countries (including india),

My heart really goes out for Neelima and her family! I also faced this kind of situation in my office to a lesser extent.
I am working as a permanent employee for a company and there are very few Asians working in this company. One of the business unit is outsourced to India and in our annual off-site meeting, the manager of that business unit sarcastically mentioned in the meeting infront of all the employees, how people in India lie about their resumes and how Indians are inefficient etc. etc. I felt so angry, sad and immediately walked out of the meeting.

Say in clear and simple words -- are online degrees from University of North Dakota, University of Massachusetts, North Eastern University etc. legit ? Yes or No
Your beating around the bush and twisting words just show you have no argument. Didn't your MBA teach you that there is something called logical argument? Or was your degree from the like of TVU ?
It is only YOU who think that online degree does not have recognition . If you are yet to understand the power of Online educatoin you are probably living in stone age.
BTW, I do not have a online degree (though I plan to go for an online MBA) but I am pissed off when I see some so called educated people are so eager to get a GC that they will probably kill others to make their way.
May your online MBA make you so powerful that you can compete with all the top of the line MBAs.

I saw that Logiclife mentioned that the head will be from michigan. I am from michigan and a lot of my buddies also visit this site regularly. Let us know if we can make a difference. Please let us know what can we do to help our cause here. I am ready to drive, meet, talk to any one I can to push things here. I dont know how much of an impact that would be, but even a little can help.

Send her application in the day ur PD becomes current (it may take many years unless congress passes some law) it is highly unlikely that they will approve ur application in one day.

The OP wanted an advise, so please give one , constructively. As far as consequences for anyone's actions they will suffer from it. There will be no escape whether in this issue or in any other issue in life.
I have noticed many posts in the recent past wherein the forum discussions degrade to personal battles real quick. The persons involved feel the need to respond to an irky post by upping the ante. Stop this game of one upmanship....

Isnt the goal of Education to make a person a better person, morally and otherwise? Is this what your education got you to? All of your Education (I am assuming you have four MS degrees, two PHd, as you have twice mine, and about 300K salary) is a total waste, if you stick up your head to support someone who does shop-lifting and have no qualms about it ( i have definitely not seen any statement to that effect from the OP, just seeking "immigration" advise). I can only think of a myriad number of reasons why you want to support this guy..maybe you yourself might have sticky hands my friend? Or maybe you are the same guy posting with two IDs and supporting your shop-lifting by such BS? I have no idea and am not interested either.
Try browsing the anti-immigrant nut websites and try answering their type-casting immigrants by the acts of few, and then you will understand what i am talking about. Till, then, probably, you can take all of your fancy-a** education, fat salary and shove it up!

Intresting someone brought up Gandhi's name here, we just'nt could manage more than few hundred to get togather to raise one voice, I just wonder if I think how this person was able to inspire millions to march on street and follow him without any questions asked.
Gandhi was a great man no questions, he had the all the intellectual, personal and spiritual qualities required to lead the nation. With those qualities alone, he could not have convenced more than half a dozen people. The nation at that time was in need of a leader like him. I agree with what most of the people here have said. The US economy is in a bigger hole and people buying houses isn't going to save it. It is going to take some creative and strict solutions from the Fed and the Govt to get the economy out of this mess.

If Martin Luther King Jr. can use the views of Gandhi successfully, why bother what we learnt in School?
Has anyone seen the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at the MLK memorial at Atlanta as well as a whole section devoted to Gandhi in the museum.
Huh? I was trying to convey that Gandhi's philosophy of passive resistance was so awesome that it had a strong impact on even a "little" person like me, growing up in Apartheid South Africa. And frankly, nations are made up of more "little" people than heroes ;)

If my observations are correct - to update you - IV is no longer just immigration forum - here i see discussions from "Israel-Gaza conflict" to "stolen cats"... How does that feel ?

3. Take classes, or learn from a friend at a shooting gallery. Even basic usage of gun is risky if you dont know what you are doing.
4. Keep your permit up to date, renew when neccesary. If you move to another state, you have to re-register your guns in that state. Check procedures for moving with your state authorities, as I think its illegal to just move with guns from one state to another.

here's my explanation why i think retrogression will get worse -
1) USCIS still has not entered all the july and aug. filers. USCIS will have a good idea by Oct or Nov. how many applications are in the pipeline, how many they can approve and what the PD cut off date needs to be?
You are just repeating yourself. Show me the logic why entering all apps will retrogress the PD?
Let me give a concrete example. For India EB2, why would the PD not move from, say, April 2004 to January 2005, even if, say, 20 million people with priority date at 2006 apply for I485?
Understand the procedure first. With a better idea of applications in pipeline, you will see the PD movement to be better predicted, not retrogression.

Will CIS generate the Receipt notice first before transfering the application to the appropriate service center. ( like transfering the application from NSC -> TSC when the I-140 was approved at TSC but filed at NSC) .
