from doing that, what do you think you would achieve by the flowers being delivered at the hospital instead of the USCIS, the point has been made and the Director has acknowledged the effort - That was the end goal and infact the flowers will do more benefit to those in the hospital.
Call the place where you've ordered flowers and ask for a refund if flowers are delivered elsewhere. It should be up to USCIS to recieve and then ship those flowers to the hospitals.

I've sent the letters to the WH and IV. Hoping for the best.
I, however, have some questions for the senior members of the IV team. Especially for the ones who are active in the lobbying efforts in Congress and the White House. How realistic are the chances for Green card visa numbers relief, even for the longer term? It seems like there are immigrants from 2 countries - India and China who are adversely effected by the low visa numbers. If one is an immigrant for any other part of the world, it actually isnt that hard to get a Green Card thru employer sponsorship. That being the case, do you think Washington would consider this an issue that needs expedient resolution or for that matter an issue that needs a resolution at all?

They have not specified anything like my prior company is fake in any of the communication email.They are asking me come back because they find something wrong about my prior company after four year and i am not able to provide more evidence.During four year i worked in 10 to 15 project for diff client and for each project first they did BG and put me in project.Now they are asking me that provide some more evidence or come back to offshore.
I know if i come back to india they will give me layoff from company.In this situation how do i fight with my company.
Please any of guide me if any of member come across in this situation

Mark's previous suggestion works fine in such scenarios. Do not mention the word "EAD" before hand.Do not mention H1 even. Do not try to even discuss EAD/H1 etc... As long as requirement allows Green card and where ever it is required for you to mention work status, jot down " Elligible to work for any US employer in USA". That would work. After interview, if they select submit EAD as a proof. At that moment they will not be able to deny that as a work status proof.
Note: Other thing I experienced is using the word "Work Permit" in place
of "EAD" makes things easy for everybody.
Right, we must avoid the word as much as possible. But then a lot of reqruiters and HRs now seem to educate themselves about the whole EAD thing and seem to be absolutely fine with the EAD.

Looks like this year USCIS understood they need some money and accept some extra applications, which may be the same file I485 when PD is not current. and date might go to end of 2007.

NO Matter how many people say "Take it easy" its simply not possible, you will have to be a superhuman to do that. Sure its stressfull but no more stressful than boarding your first flight to USA. no more stressful than attending 1st H1B interview at the consulate or your first client interview. So in the end, we have been through all the hurdles with most of us surviving 2001-2002 job markets and now is 2007.
The point is we have been through all that successfully and thats a BIG WIN. So we will be through this too, but not without stress. The day we decided to come to USA and until now we have been successful as we are resourceful and can improvise at a short notice and we will. We are shrewd individuals and We Will PREVAIL.

On September 25, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.
and for my husband it says

On September 24, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. This is what i am doing to call a cell phone or any land line in india. Vonage has a call forwarding feature. Simply log in to your vonage account and go to features and configure the call forwarding feature.Configure such that the call is forwarded after 20 sec's. Intially vonage rings and after that it is forwarded to the india cell or landline forwarding number. Its free of charge as calling from vonage to india #'s is free. Hope this puts the debate to rest.

My attorney's office contacted USCIS and was told that USCIS has current address on system :cool: They told that since the case is waiting for RFE it must have happend by mistake :confused:

I am not on L1, neither do I work in the kind of an assignment which will come under the radar due to this - but have many friends on L1. Hence I think I may have a slightly more balanced and perhaps somewhat sobering POV on this.
Since I have many friends on L1 - I know pretty well how they are abused by their employers. Just the fact that you cant quit the employer enables some forms of abuse so subtle that they will not stand in any court of law. So I hope for the sake of people on L1, and to uphold the rule of law - that this abuse stops. If it does - their employers would be forced to bring them in H1 - which is far less prone to abuse due to the portability.
However, the current "run to the DOL/ICE" approach that you guys are taking may have repurcussions well beyond you had bargained for. Think of it from the POV of a client manager (lets take the example of, say, a goldman manager). He has his hands full of sucking up to his boss, playing the internal politics and in his spare time doing some work. 99% of them (even those who actually immigrated themselves) have no appetite to get into the details of immigration law. So, as soon as there is a backlash on this - their immediate response would be to take the safest route out and require Citizenship/GC for all positions.
As soon as that wave starts - many of us are going to get burnt. Many of us who have EAD, including yours truely, would probably be able to sneak through without too much of an issue (since it is illegal to discriminate against EADs) - however, many others who are not so fortunate would probably not fare so well. Most probably what will happen is that as soon as a recruiter sees brown skin and hears some trace of an accent - alerm bells would go off in the mind to check if this guy is GC holder or a citizen.
The enabler of the L1 abuse is the non-portability of these visas. We cant do much about that in the current environment. But going all gung ho in terms of enforcement right now -when there is a recession in full swing - may not be in the best interest of any of us.

Called one more time using the POJ method to NSC... This was probably the most fruitful call to NSC in the last 7-8 odd times i have called them.
Someone called Terry answered the call... Hats off to this lady...If there is a way i would want to recommend this lady for a promotion and make her the project manager for all the rest of the IOs who answer the call!!!
My case PD is 1/15/05, filed at TSC, transferred to NSC in Mar 08, applied AC 21 in Aug 08 and did biometrics in Feb 09.
Information i received on my case from this call:
1. This lady got my receipt#, checked details and history on my case, let me know that the case is preadjudicated (she defined preadjudication before that)
2. and then, told me that the case is NOT in storage area.
3. She mentioned that preadjudicated cases are held in an area called exams area and my case is currently on its way from exams area back to the officer who had preadjudicated my case earlier in Oct 2008.
4. She then checked my wife's file to see if that is also with my case just to make sure that file is not lost etc and confirmed that both files are together.
5. She also mentioned that nothing else needs to be done right now for my case as it is already on its way back to IO.
Thanks to know that there is atleast one person at NSC who understands what we are going thru' and is willing to atleast provide some details...

However, what she told you, you probably already knew. Her understanding of your situation is what made you feel good about the call. IN the end however, t is competence that matters. When the USCIS says FIFO and there are over 4 yr old 485 cases in the queue, you quickly realize that incompetence abounds.
Lets not confuse sympathy with competence.

Here is a suggestion, who ever decides to join Vonage now, can use a referral link from one of the member, who is already a vonage customer, so that he can get 2 months off. Now the member who got 2 months off, can either donate two months bill amount or one month (if he choose to retain one month off) to forum.;)

Infact not only this, we can use any other similar referral programs, like Direct TV 100 offer etc..
