You must be kidding me if you cannot make out the difference between an approval and an RFE. It clearly states "Your Case Status: Decision"... What more do you want?
Today I got one more email (See below) and my status changed from CPO to Decision. What does that mean? Did they send an RFE?

US is made by immigrants and the immigrants should feel great about this country since this country gave us opportunity. Look at the things that is happening to us since last few months.
1. CIR bill introduce with lots of provision for Legal immigrants such as reduction of visa numbers to 90k, some people need to apply under new points system, and higher fees for renewing H1b visa. (Supporting US government)
2. Amendments introduce for legal immigrants coming to US on H1B visa or who are on H1B visa. No renewal of your H1B visa since AC21 was removed from the original bill. (Immigrants can go back to thier home country quickly).
3. VB came out with all the dates current. Majority of the people spent approx. $4000-$5000, and time so that they are their family can have better life. On July 2 2007 VB dates will show 'U'. (Supporting US economy)

Excellent idea JBR. Why don't you create a letter template and put it in IV. If we have the facility to sign electronically, it will be nice. Later, it can be sent electronically to all Congress Members. Let us try to create a slogan for our campaign. Any IV member can shed their ideas on this.

USCIS decided to take our $604 and give me an my wife APs in 9 days! They seem really efficient when they have to take money from us. But really slow when they have to approve GC applications (EB2, PD of Dec 2004). USCIS just seems to be interested in 'extortion' payments to employ USCIS staff - more a lawless mafia than a organization upholding the law!

Ok, I had hoped not to bite the bait, but I am human, nothing recharges and roils like someone saying "you are EB3, you are worthless compared to US the mighty EB2s".
The misleading continues
1) "VDLRAO" (no disrespect to his prediction capabilities) says EB2 will be current soon, so why are you raising this voice.
Well, if it is going to be current soon enough, then any action to redirect EB1 numbers should not be a cause of concern for EB2s should it? If you are going to become current soon, then it means there aren't many people waiting in the queue.
2) We should support the visa recapture
You all are assuming that EB3 does not support it. Unlike me, most EB3s are very active in calling, contributing and supporting those events. I have personal reservations about asking for a change in law when I am the direct beneficiary (I feel like those big oil companies who use their clout to get laws favourable to them, nothing wrong, just that I dont like to do it). Having said that, I have no problems in asking and demanding that the law be applied as written.
Once I have my GC done with, I intend to write to the representatives that barring progressive experience in the same company rule should be removed, because it is the experience that matters, not where you get it. Why should someone who chooses to be loyal be discriminated against another who has no qualms about his company's future.

Some within EB2 concede that the law is fuzzy, while others claim there is no basis for our campaign here. Well, there was no basis for so many things that IV has accomplished, and yet, most people accept that we are better off in some ways compared to pre-IV. If you believe the law is fuzzy, then you should realize that current interpretation is your luck, not your right.

I think its only when things get reaaally bad that it forces people to stop and take notice. An example is the July 07 fiasco. That was wrong on so many levels. I thought just like a lot of others " They cannot possibly get away with this. Can they?" People made enough noise and DOS/CIS had to take corrective action.
With the new interpretation also looks like someone made a decision without fully understanding the consequences for EB-3 I folks. I think this is an outrage for EB-3. To be stuck in 2001 and no relief in sight. I think we should make our voice heard.

Guys this is a revision to the July Visa Bulletin. Meaning, even if the revision happens on July 29th to the July Visa Bulletin, it holds good for entire july.
This is not August bulletin.
Looks like people have misconception, that if their file goes to USCIS on July 2nd and visa bulletin is revised on July 3rd or later date, then they are safe. It is not so.
If at all if there is a change to the August bulletin it holds good for August and not to July bulletin.

Finally, we got the approval emails for self & wife.
I had got an email from TSC.Ncscfollowup@dhs.gov last friday (09/17/2010) with the update below-
1: The review was complete
2: Visa numbers were requested 2 months ago and all security/prints are current
3: Files have been forwarded to officers for completion.
In my case the email to SCOPSSCATA@dhs.gov helped a lot. They in turn sent an email to TSC.Ncscfollowup@dhs.gov to step up the processing.
As others have mentioned IV has played a big part throughout this journey. Thank you again.

The plus point with you is, you never use abusive language and your arguments (at least for the most part) look sane and rational. I wish more intelligent people would interact with you so that the discussion results in some good knowledge being produced.

I feel we should have some banners up in different Indian stores, specially targeting some selfish EAD holders, who already feel they got their green cards irrespective of the current visa bulletin
1. Setting up banners will not only attract new members, but will make these EAD holders think from a rational perspective.
2.Also IV administration should send out a personal email to all it members, informing them about the importance of coming together, this way the EAD members who have stopped coming to IV will get the message.
3. We should contact the Indian newspaper editors, to print about our rally on March1st 2009, I believe more awareness we spread a better result we get.

We have to make do with such low cost volunteer work. Someone pointed out that we should contact newspapers and get articles published. Wish it was so easy. We have written tons of mails but that alone does not work. You need to issue press releases and publish them online. Publishing them each online costs a couple hundred dollars by publishing services who distribute, and there is no guarantee it will be picked up. Thus you need a focussed campaign for it. There are services where you can contact reporters and media on a specific topic and send them email, press release directly. If they are already writing article you can know the deadline. If you have an idea, you can pitch a story idea to the reporter directly. A good service I know costs 5K for non profits for one year. If you need access to International reporters database add 2k to it. All this is possible only if we have these kinds of resources. When we can hardly get contributions of 5k in 4 months after collecting $5 each, it is tough to plan a big media campaign. The reason why other big organizations and big anti immigrant orgs can get so much publicity is that they probably can spend their huge resources on such services. They can also afford a full time staff. We do not have all that and run IV along with our full time day time jobs. I also interviewed in Mumbai on Jan 4 for an F1->H1-B status change. I was told to wait for an email from the consulate and have not heard anything as of today (Jan.15). Is there anyone who has heard from the consulate and interviewed around that time? Also, could someone please tell me what this kentucky number is which you can call?

Other than Pappu I dont see the other two or any others actively participating. Who are they and where are they?
Thanks folks for your wishes. I had not been active on the volunteering side due to multiple reasons and other day to day challenges and career.
I agree with a lot of people in the community that it is a challenge to balance a challenging personal life, especially in a country like America where regular day to day life poses many challenges.
In the green card process, the challenge is just not about one needing a job to fulfill day to day needs but to secure a future for him/her and family.
A lot of people I have come across through IV have been absolutely amazing in stepping up and doing what they do and this platform provided by IV (Aman, Pappu, Jay etc..) has been a blessing for all of us.
I have written to IV core that I will continue to support IV and its activities.
