you told that fees are reasonable, can you tell me you get answers all your questions promptly?
or do lawyers asks extra money for every related question? (this is reported on other thread by some members). say for example, if I want to ask about not only AC21 but also about travelling on AP etc.?

nobody complains about somebody getting green card getting in six months, infact I know somebody who got green card from india onmployment basis, the problem is people who have waited for 6 years or longer feels the pinch, because
they have followed the law just like the guy who got in 6 months , and they see no light at the end of the tunnel, and frustration to certain degree amounts to anger.

And there is no need to explain this �unfairness� to the lawmakers who are considering various solutions to fix/address all possible immigration related problems. Would cribbing alone about �unfairness� on this and other forums help bring fairness to the process?

In central NJ, I called over 9 Doctors and only two of them had an appointment before July 1st -2nd week.
One is Dr. Neil M.S. Estrella in Clark, NJ. Appointment was available for Monday June 18th. But the fees for the exam plus vaccines is $430. The second one is Dr. Marcel Stern in Piscataway, NJ 08854. Appoitnment was available for Thursday June 21st. The fees was more reasonable at $350.
If you're in Central NJ, Hurry, Hurry Hurry.
P.S - If some of you get other appoitnments in NJ, post here so that others will know and not waste time calling other doctors.

I went to stamping last october and the VO was very cool. He just wanted to know whether there is EB petition pending onmy name (7th Yr H1B). Didnt bother to ask anything else.
The common thought is they give a hard time to first timers, if you are going for re-stamping they dont bother to ask many questions. You shld be ok, good luck.

That is because I see lot of kids come to "what was the name again" schools with megre or no GRE scores just to land here once they get to OPT they get 8 - 10 yrs of experience out of nowhere and they are out in the job market. I can spend all day writing about them, the school and the quality of education but it is not going to do any difference.

Thanks for the link. I looked at it before I posted my case but I don't think it was a mistake by the customs officer. He specifically told me that he cannot stamp the date of the future I-797's expiry date (Jun 2010) and asked me to contact my local office just before the current visa expires. My current one expires June 04 2007. The future 797 is valid from June 05 2007 till June 04 2010. But my visa stamping in the passport is till June 04 2010.

But marriage certificate from Indian Consulates can not be used for this purpose.Same case with birth certificates.
My sympathies to you.
However I don't understand how your wife and kids got depedendant visa. I don' think one can get a H4 or L2 visas with out marriage certificate first place, unless your wife came here on F1 visa here.
Anyway, You can apply marriage certificate with Indian Consulate. You may want to visit there with wedding pictures and passport there to get your certificate

If he stayed for 180 days and used AC21 then AC21 WILL protect this person
Just to add, this is the risk of not working for the company after getting the EAD. The employer can easily prove that the person had no intention of working for the company. AC21 cannot protect that person.

With current situation in economy, I don't think our HR 5882 will be in the mark uplist. US govt has bigger problems than spending time for "recapture EB visas". I have no hope of recapture bill will be discussed near future. Sorry for my pesimistic views

This is correct.......once the employer revokes H1B, that is a red flag for the immigration officer. Officer may or may not ask for evidence. Be prepared to show a same or similar job offer.

You are making an assumption that an approved petition is an indication of a valid status for the entire duration of extension. This may or may not be true after the I-140 is revoked.
That's why you have to be quick...Before your earlier employer revokes the petition...(that takes some time..) you got to get a new labor and a new approved I-140 and after that they cannot throw us out technically...
