Code 1 = if you applied EAD only (Index Fingers + Photo)
Code 2 = if you applied I-485 only (All Fingers only - FBI Name Check)
Code 3 = if you applied I=485 + EAD
I may have code 1 & 2 reversed :-) But thats the overall concept...

I efiled EAD and AP for my wife and myself over this weekend. My earlier documents had been filed at TSC. In answering Question 11 of EAD, I "assumed" Dallas TX Field office and USCIS TSC are one and the same. So I selected Dallas TX Field office as the answer.
When the receipts were generated for our applications they were generated for National Benefits Center with MSC as the prefix. This got me confused and I asked this question (http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?t=19323) on IV. This evening to research what is going on I started a dummy application and saw what I had done wrong. I canceled the dummy application.
I am writing this to alert anyone to not do the same mistake. I am mighty concerned. I will call USCIS tomorrow morning and ask on what will happen and where should I send me supporting documents. I will also get hold of some local attorney.
In the mean time what do you guys think of our situation. Any experiences, ideas? Please share. This will be long night :-|

Who gets FP notice? is it attorney or us?
We also filed on July 2nd at NSC.. got EAD and AP. buit no sign of FP yet. we were also out of country for last 3- 4 weeks. Is there chance we could have missed it?

Actually I just wanted to point out the generic indifference shown towards the feeling of people of India by mainstream western media and governments - the long wait in immigration queue and ignoring the plight of Indian legal immigrant aspirants , setting a per country quota ignoring its population representation is just an extension of the same mentality... and I also wanted to point out how this mentality of deliberately ignoring Indian feelings and values is going to become increasingly irrelevant in the changing world where BRIC countries will wield increasing power.

Today inspite of the quota we are sort of demanding or in other words saying Google(US based company) should display Diwali. If country quota is abolished many more of us will beome PR and then citizens then we will be in a better position to demand the incorporation of our cultural values/ religious values in this country and thus the cultural/religious equillibrium of this country will get effected. So they will say this is the reason that the country quota should stay.
This way your innocent statement can be used against you and us. This was my concern against these type of nor immigration and matters related to only one country/region/religion being posted in this forum.

I somhow feel that Name Check problem has not been taken care of within its entirety. I agree with one thing that NC will be "improved" but has not been and will never be streamlined the way actually it should be.

USCIS may come up with altogether different startegy... To align processing times with FBI processing and FBI NC initiation. That may screw the things further.

We submitted our EAD application in June first week and we got our card this week, effective from last week of July for the next one year.
Our priority date is October 2006- EB2 and we are not current. So shouldnt we have been issued a 2 year EAD?
Also we gave our finger prints last year (July 2007 filer) but this time too both the EAD cards shows no FP available .
The EAD card of my spouse (he is the primary applicant says signature waived) I still have signature on my EAD card. Anyone else with the card that says signature waived. Previous card had his signature in there.

just wanted to share my Finger Printing Experience.
I am july 2nd filer, EB2.
NSC -CSC - NSC case.
Got my FP done today,
however I noticed that on my ASC notice, my SSN has been printed incorrectly.
I called USCIS and made the correction.
I was surprised & furious at the same time, by seeing this mistake from USCIS.
Their system is so bad, they are not even verifying the Name to the corresponding SSN. Had I missed to notice, I would have been stuck either at FBI name check or by a querry from USCIS later for a long long time.
Already the wait is long enough.
Anyways, dont relax just seeing your EADs and APs, watch every detail on whatever they send.

Every one are highly educated and highly skilled and there is always needs to be difference compared to other forums. Actually after Moderators started monitoring messages one person is putting abusive languages in comment section of the Reputation of many posts as those are unnoticed unless the person complained. I welcome red or green dots in reputation but abusive words in the comment section are not acceptable to me.
It may not be possible to micromanage everything. But moderators are taking prompt action if anyone reports abusive languages.
in that case it ...we should have a wall of shame section & tag members...;)
but the point is how much of micromanagement can u do on a "free" forum!

If that is such the case, ISO800 is noisy and you can't really shoot above that.
but judging by comments elsewhere, the resolution is very good on lower ISO shots. (better than the 1D Mark II some say?)
It's also a model that has been out for a while. A replacement is overdue? (Photokina...)
If we're talking strategy :p, then I believe this is the time to consider waiting. Almost every camera except the 1D Mark II will likely be superceded by newer and cheaper models come September. (10D, S2, 300D, D70 and perhaps Sigma SD10 is my guess) That date is not that far off... (usually no point in waiting, but if the original poster already has a camera and is in no rush...)

Hello Gurus,
My I-140 was recently approved. 140-485 filed concurently in July 2007. I have a new job offer and plan to use AC21. However I am worried because the wages at new job would be significantly higher than the old job. There are two reasons for the big difference
1-Desi employer v/s corporate employer
2-Dallas v/s New York
Any comments from people who have faced similar situation will be highly appreciated.

ofcourse she cannot change her status until oct 1st. How ever the sluice gates for the new h1 quota open on Apr 1st and will be gone in days. My question is Does she need her H4 approved to have her prospective employer file the I 129? (or) Can she just provide the notice of action she received for her H4 extension filing to show that she is maintaining status?

Actions speak louder than words... Lou Dobbs says Microsoft has waged war against the American middleclass by taking the company to Canada. But that hasn't stopped the company from starting a development center in Canada, nor has the company cared to answer Lou Dobbs in a press release or anything.
