I have a list of over 600 media email address ... let me know if you want me to email it to you so you can send them notice about the peacful flower campaingn.
Working on it... we will have the "draft" version by the end of the day. In the meanwhile I would appreciate it if anyone can find out fax numbers where we can fax the press release to.

To begin with, Congratulations to every deserving IV member who can now apply for a green card!
I'd like to thank each and every member of the IV Core Team. Your efforts have changed our lives. Because of you, people won't be scooting off to UK and Canada, some children won't age out, people wouldn't have to get more *ouch!* shots, et al! From skepticism to total admiration is how my perception of IV changed over the past two weeks. You have done justice to the name Immigration Voice. Enough said!
Like the Core Team repeatedly insists, this is just one of the first few important steps, and there is a lot more to be done. And for that to happen, IV needs contributions. I am not in a position to urge people to contribute. I am a junior member, 20 years old, on an H-4 with no means to work, and not a single bank account yet to my name. However, I wish to pledge the first 500 hundred dollars of savings from my first job after obtaining an EAD to Immigration Voice.
Go IV!:)

Let us all focus on the rally and the things that we have to do to make it successful and not waste our energy on this.. Each one of us has to work to make this rally a success, that is a vow each one of us will take.

I can't wait till we see the results of this initiative. Having a source (website, tool, whatever) that tells me how many people are in line ahead of me, and is refreshed on a periodic (monthly as new bulletins come out) basis will take a lot of the guesswork and day dreaming out of this.
A lot of us are in this mess for the long haul. A clear picture, even if it doesn't make the dates move any faster will ease a lot of anxiety and frustration. Atleast for me, it will.
If you're sitting on your ass thinking that there are other people contributing and their contributions alone will help meet the goal, you are wrong, most people are thinking the same way.
The way I see it, if you don't contribute/act to solve problems that you face in life, you have no right to whine about them.
Be like me, contribute, and then whine all you want.

Didnt USCIS issue a Memo or something stating only one h1B filing per person?
I believe this time around USCIS is planning to pick the lottery based on passport number. So, even if you have multiple applications from different companies, you will have to choose one among them.

You can send Pay Pal contributions to any E-mail on earth, including info AT Immigrationvoice.org. It goes to the E-mail id as eCheck.
Only requirement is that the recepient (human) of the E-mail should collect the amount from PayPal. Not sure how this happens, I haven't received any money from PayPal ( or other means for that matter :D)
The E-mail id I gave earlier is IV merchant E-mail id @ PayPal. It would've made the transfer automated.
Since there seems to be some apprehensions about revealing it (isn't it just an E-mail id?!), I have blanked out my old post.
My only point was... there is a reason they encourage $100 minimum for a one time contribution. They could have simply published the email id and opened the doors to $5/ $10 contributors... i.e. the folks who say they would happily contribute this small amount if they had that option.

we don't have to agree and support everything. IV does what benefits majority of the people (directly or indirectly)

thanks for the info. both me and my wife were issued an rfe in March for which we responded early april and then again it is in a holding tank since then. hopefully we are done with the rfe nonsense and are at a place where we can be greened.

I am also in the same boat. (well kind of similar). I am "AOS Pending" or EAD status now and want to change the name (First Name, which is lengthy and getting cut in the EAD card and other cards, so want to trim it or make is simple).
I see that SantaClara County City Court has this site explaining the process Probate Court Name Change For Adults - Superior Court, Santa Clara County (http://www.scselfservice.org/probate/adult/namechangeadults.htm#how)
Has anyone done this? Can we use this name change decree to change the name in the pending records (like 485 Application, EAD cards, DMV, etc... and also our Passport )?

As an IO working in USLameIS, I absolutely cannot agree with your sentiments! In fact, that is the worst idea I have ever seen. Why, if we did that, we would give you applicants a sense of security. We can't have that. You would be released from your suffering and anxiety. That would render our cleverly thought out process to make-you-wait-forever meaningless.
On top of that, you add a layer of work to me! That cuts into my 3 hr lunch, 2 hr coffee time, and 1 hr toilet break. NO!
And the worst thing ever is: should the idea be implemented, it would add transparency to what we are doing and.. and.. oh noes! *GASP* we would have to provide accountability! NO NO NO NO NOOOOOOOooo.
Worst idea ever ok? realizeit? Plsdiekthxbye.
