I think the question though genuine and points to the fundamental flaw in the system but is irrelevant to the point of discussion here.
The whole point is that the incentive for porting has been taken away by making computer information manger a Job Zone 4. In addition, additional scrutny will weed out any fraud.
I need to read up on the new zones implementation.
But if you may, please answer this question: If one wants to change jobs within the same company to a new job that falls in the same zone as his current one, can he do that without a new LCA?
The new job is in the same building/region; just some additional responsibility and would be in a different group than the present one.

EB3 will not any visa from recapture bcoz it will go to EB2 first. EB2 line is not going to clear in next 10 years bcoz nowadays everybody applies in EB2 and as they move VB forward for EB2, more and more people apply for AOS and it never ends.
So EB3 won't be benefited by recapture unless there is a clause specifically for EB3 allotment out of that recapture

I bought a house in the year 2006 (2 years back as Punjabi did)....there were reports, news items, articles everywhere talking about the real estate bubble with data available by cities/states. So saying something like "what is the fault of Punjabi" is not fair as we are all here because of our "extraordinarily high skills". And where did the $200 K number come from ? In the city where I live, the average house price was $220,000, I bought a house which was worth $185,000. I knew my limits.
First of all I am not affected by foreclosure and nor do I own a property.
Now let me say this: What is the fault of Punjabi if his house price went down by $200K? He has a load which is not only more than his house value, he is also paying an interest on that loan. It is true that he has got into hot water but how many years will it take to make $200 K? Most of us are not millionaires here. It is true that he will suffer for a few years but I dont see why giving up the house is not an option. Why would he continue to pay interest and principal when his house may not get to the same value in his lifetime? I think foreclosure is a small price to pay in that light.

You or your employer should have a copy of all approved I-797 H1 reciept. Isint the l-94 on there?
Yes. But I travelled to India when I was on one of those I-797s and submitted the I-94 attached at the bottom of that I-797 while travelling out. I had not clue at that time that a copy of this I-94 would be needed.
I have other I-797s with I-94s attached at bottom coz I never travelled while I was on those I-797s.
Anyways, I am not worried. What I dont have, I just dont have it. Cant do anything about it now.

ITINs purpose is to ONLY put it when filing taxes. And all forms clearly ask for SSN# SO I dont think your lawyer is advising correctly.

Right, but that A# I found on my H1b approval (approved Oct 10 '07) is different from the A # in my 458 receipts.
Just trying to figure out if folks who had an A# in the H1b approval notice are also facing the PIMS delay. (just a wild guess).

I agree. The companies should feel the pain. our cause should get sympathy from the americans. We need publicity for our causes.

However I must tell you that being hostile towards companies will be counter productive to our cause. Infact we'll have to work with the companies and organizations formed by multiple companies. They may or may not help us, but being hostile to them won't help us one bit.
Pls come up with any suggestions you may have towards this.

IV has asked for 2 copies, one to the President and one to IV. Couple of questions on that.

A new technique reqruiters are using is
"Hey, I am OK with EAD, it is just this particular client of mine who is not and I tried to educate this client but they do not listen. I tried placing another guy on EAD at this client but they rejected because of EAD and I placed so many people on EAD in other clients. So I hear you. Good luck with other jobs."
I still think it is some notorous reqruiters who apply the EAD filter. They do not want to deal with a lot of resumes and they want to apply that filter.
If someone askes we can say we have GCs and then if that takes us through the process, they cannot raise a problem at the I-9 stage as that would violate labor law.
And usually people who initially ask and filter are different from people who collect I-9 information, so that may actually work.

Thanks Appas.. I sent an email to ombudsman on tueday and got a response on wednesday with the message. I also attached DS701 form, copy of I140 approved notice, I485 receipt notice.
