The media caters to its audience just like any other business nterested in its own customers. When markets worldwide rise or fall in response to election results in India, it gets major media attention everywhere because the audience is interested. Diwali is as unimportant in America as Thanksgiving in the U.K. There is no point fretting over it. Diwali could become newsworthy when people globally start tracking shopping sales in India since their businesses might depend on them. It's better to sharpen our skills so that we can seamlessly join the global highway than to sit on the sides cursing those passing by that they don't care about us.
Friends I want to point out a few things. But before that Wanted to let you know that Diwali is my major festival too and I celebrate Diwali with great respect. I do not think the importance of Diwali will get diminished in the heart of people irrespective of the fact they are mentioned in media.
However, I do not understand why we are discussing whether Diwali is mentioned in Google or on some media. Google inc is a business organization and they will do whatever they feel is good for their business. Only their shareholders can dictate them. If we are not the major shareholders then why are we bothered. They would write about Diwali if they like. Why we should try to press our religion over others. Everyone should be free to follow their own. Else we will become part of the religious fanatics.
Secondly this is an Immigration forum. If I remember IV is for all immigrants in USA and not just for a particular country(origin) or religion. These type of discussion will try to create division amoung us the immigrants who are from all religions.

Agreed that they are humans. Disagree that they are doing their best. I have worked in a government agency part-time on OPT here in the US, and let's just say, more than half the time is spent away from desk, and outside buildings for smoke/coffee breaks. IT Projects that should not take more than a month or two to finish, linger on for years.

I think if Indian external affairs ministry understands that highly skilled Indian born citizens have to wait for 16 to 50 years where as even less skilled candidate gets away with green card in 6 months just because he was NOT born in India; they would at least protest in soft words.

I have used it. I-140 approved. Currently working on EAD. Got the letter from new employer mentioning title similar to both of my GC labor bassed application example: title: Title1(EB3 based - old app/Title2(EB2 based - New app). I will be using that letter to inform USCIS for my AC 21 usage. I am waiting for my lawyer to take that task into his hand.My both GC is based on different but close labor codes. Currently I have not decided to port PD to new file but once I decide the same letter will work for that as well. My letter just mentions title and salary and which department I am working and to whom I am reporting. According to lawyer there is no need to put "Job Description" at all in that letter. I originally got the letter with job description (matching both codes) but my lawyer advised me to remove "job description" and thus I had to take another letter.

Well currently I live in MN and I have lived in NY before. Both states issued me DL valid beyond my I94 expiry. However in both cases they include "Status check <date>" in my DL, where <date> is the date on which my I-94 expires. So in either state once you go beyond your I-94 expiry date they can cancel your DL.

If you have to put something in Hindi etc, please put an english version translated with it. Its insulting to share joke with only people who know a certain language.
Imagine this: If you are in a restaurant with a fellow Indian and an American co-worker, would you talk in Hindi, crack a joke in Hindi and then giggle? Wouldnt the other guy think that you are laughing at him?

One more question is right now my wife is on H4, My I140 and 485 are in pending, if my wife got EAD she can use it right?
2) If my I140 denied and her EAD become Void, Is she permitted to stay in USA or She needs to go out of country and enter with h4 status?

If they approve EB3/India/APR2004 and EB2/INDIA/AUG2005 saying the dates were current on Jul1 or Jul2 , applying the same logic they can't reject applications that were files when the dates were still current. And also give fair chance to others to react between bulletins.

. After 180 days you may leave, but you will have to find a new employer who is willing to hire you on permanent basis upon getting you GC for same/similar job as in the LC. What you do until your GC is approved (contract job with this employer or something else) is a different matter. Those employments can be on EAD, H1, temp/permanent, etc.
What if the job i'm moving to after 180 days is hiring me permanently now itself? Do they still have to specify (in EVL for AC21) that they will hire me perm only upon getting GC?

Because of illegals granted amnesty any legal immigrant filing after Apil 30, 2001 faced longer waits and backlogs because they consumed the existing quota of immigrant visas. In essencem legals were penalized for obeying the law and standing in line.
Let's do a poll to see how many EB3IND folks will be willing to be a party to a class action lawsuit to provide relief. Obviosuly if the lawsuit prevails the plaintiff's pending GC applications will be approved. GCOP, mirage or anyone else- want to put up a poll (i don't know how to do it)
This might be a better option for many who cannot do a Writ of Mandamus lawsuit
