You know what. I would like to donate something to IV this holiday season. I have a Wii gaming console that I bought earlier during the year but never actually got around to play it much :)
I want to donate that to IV. There are a couple of ways you can get your hands on this amazing machine, PM me and I will mail it to your address, you send the retail value of a Wii, to IV as donation. Or we can set up an auction. Highest bidder gets it. Mind you this is just for donation purposes. I won't make any money out of this. You will get a gaming console and IV will get some donation.

No green card for you. Just work well for 6 years, enjoy life in US, enjoy sports cars by renting, not by buying, rent a big house, have a lawn and garden in back yard, grow your own vegetables. After 6 years, get nice job in India,own apartment near to office and ask your parents to live with you. Take kids to school . Have fun with them. Thank you to all members here and core members. I have been watching this thread since June 30. I can't believe this is actually happening.
I was the one who DID NOT send any flowers because I was simply scared.
I was the one who DID NOT contribute any donation to IV.
I was the one who wouldn't do rally, simply I did not think it's gonna work.
Now, I am very happy. At the same time, I shame myself.
Once again, I bow to all members who actually did something & contributed something to this community and entire legal immigrants. I will remember this day even when I get a citizenship in the future.
Finally, I like to make a donation to this community. However, let me finish my I-485 filing NOW! lol gotta send this to my laywer tomorrow morning...

Well - I agree. What you say is true. In the past - IV leadership came up with campaigns and with plan and then the heat picked up and members started contributing and working hard and thats how all these campaigns are a success to some extent.
Now when new members are trying to come up with something - I personally feel that IV leadership must either endorse and support and guide or if such new campaigns that are not coming directly from IV core may not be advisable because they may not be the best approach - I think IV core can communicate the concern and intent to not ssupport new campaigns.
If there is no response - it becomes difficult for people to do anything because most people spring into action ONLY when IV core endorses the effort otherwise members will start campaigns - get no support or very little support and the campaigns will just go wasted.
On another note - it is always the best to join State chapters and talk to chapter leads and also mobilize people in state chaapter level - itis not easy but works in long run

I'm really happy to hear this. Serves you right for making calls and taking InfoPass all the time. You are unfairly trying to get ahead of others and lowering the productivity of USCIS. Let them work.

Someone gave me a "red" with totally unjustified reason. Initially I was upset - and I complained about it - found that he gave me more reds with similar comment from multiple userids (because one userid can't give multiple green/red to the same post). And this guy is doing at weird times ..like 5 in the morning (so psyco is the right description ... now I am sure he is going to given couple of reds to me :D )
After rethinking - now I don't care much about reds - someone is just pissed off, jealous or having fun ... red might make us (and our posts) look less reliable ... however I decided to keep my blood-pressure low and psyco's high :D ..so go ahead psyco - add more reds !!

A lot of people have already sent the flowers and they do not follow the IV nor do they care about polling here.
I think the idea is catching up very fast thru email chains and people are doing this independently
So we will never know, exactly how many people really sent the flower, but still the effect is the same !!!

H1 is a temporary situation. Your family is permanent. Protect your family.
Do not let the fear of social services coming to check on you from stopping to do the right thing. They have a job to do; they will not take away a child unless they really believe that the child is not being cared for. They do not want to add to the strain of foster care system which is already under stress.
Law enforcement agencies also monitor sites like IV, Rajiv Khanna etc. And they can get a subpoena against IV to get your information if they suspect that a crime has taken place.
Everyone: please please ... You should not only check for the cleanliness and background of the staff (and facility) who take care of your kid. Also make sure that their way of taking care of your kid meets your expectation. Do not make any assumptions. Ask pointed questions and get certain answers.
Also... I feel that there is more to the story than what the OP has said in his one and only posting.
I think he/she already went past the point to think "what will happen to me" when they hired someone knowing that she was not legally eligible to work/provide that service.
If not them reporting that nanny, her next victim will report her. I strongly believe that, if she is used to that way of raising a kid, she will hit other kids in the future. And they will be exposed at that point when the authorities grill her to spill the beans on her previous employers.
I am also afraid that the OP might take matters into his/her own by making an emotional decision; and that would put him in hot water.

I hope that was not the only criteria for you to choose her. Keep in mind that a person's behaviour when they are alone speaks of their true nature. She showed me DOS Memo she just received about no more visas for India/China EB2 for this fiscal year. She did infoact show us the memo.
